Following are the individual results of the GCSA swimmers: Tennis Deadline Wednesday All entries, in both singles and doubles events, in the annual Public Courts Tennis Tournament must be in the hands of the seeding committee by 5 p.m. Wednesday. This is a change from past years in which doubles entries were taken through the opening day of the tournament. However since this year entrants are restricted to entering only two classes, it was felt that the extra time would not be needed for doubles teams to form. The tournament Is sponsored by the Gazette, the Diamond Big Racquet Shop, Paul Sullivan Tennis Sportswear and Tennis Inc. As noted, players may enter two classes, only one of which may be a singles class. The entry fee is $2 per player per event entered. Checks should be made payable to Tennis Inc. and should accompany entries. The tournament is open to all amateur players, except those previously listed as ineligible, in Kanawha and contiguous counties. A contiguous county is one touching Kanawha. Trophies will be presented winners and runners up in each class. Tournament play will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Gorman annex courts at Watt Powell Annex and will continue through July 18. Play will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday and at 4 p.m. on weekdays. Although every effort will be made to accomodate players who work or attend summer classes in the scheduling of matches, players must be available to play when scheduled. It is particularly imperative that all entrants in the singles classes be ready to play at any time on the first two days of the tournament.
