She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and will be employed by the Summers County Board of Education as an elementary tary teacher. Her husband graduated from Hinton High School and Concord College where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is now employed by the First National HBank of Hinton. The couple will make their home in Hinton. Miss Hill Married to Larry J. Sauro \reeto HMl, * Mr. and Mrs. James M. Hill of Dwtohar, and Larry Joseph Sauro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Sauro of Morgaotown, were married Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Dunhar by the Rev. George Pautey. The bride was given in marriage by her father and a reception followed in the church social room. Mrs. Gloria Thomas of Charleston, aunt of the bride, was matron of honor and Morgaatowa. Sbe graduated from Daabar Higjh School and the scfeod of radotogie technology at Charleston Memorial Hospital. She attested W«sj Virginia l*aiv- ersity and is employed io the department of biology at WVU. Mr. and Mrs. Cowley are graduates of Sherman High School and she attended West Virginia Institute of Technology. She is employed by CNA Insurance in Charleston. Her husband attended Beckley College and is employed by Kessler Coal Co. The couple will make their home in Whitesville. ADAMS , former Dorothea Slather Engagements Are Announced Carpenter-Jones Gilbert-Bays Ditmars-Carpenter Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Carpenter of St. Albans are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Catherine, to Airman l.C. Dennis Ray Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Calvin Jones of 2828 Washington Ave. The wedding will take place on Sept. 14 in the New Hope Baptist Church. Miss Carpenter graduated from St. Albans High School. Her fiance is serving with the Air Force at Rickenbacker AFB, Columbus, Ohio. CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio -- Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Gilbert of Cuyahoga Falls are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Lucinda Beth, to Lowell Edward Bays, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell T. Bays of Charleston, W. Va. The wedding will take place on Feb. 14 here.. Miss Gilbert attended Cuyahoga Falls High School. Her fiance is an employe of Smith Transferee. TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Ditmars of Trumansburg have announced the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Marie, to Charles S. Carpenter, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Carpenter of C h a r l t o n Heights. They are students at Southland Bible Institute in Pikes- vine, Ky. rothea Jean Slusher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe B. Slusher of Belle, to Richard Gordon Adams, son of Mrs. Helen Adams of Clarksburg. The Rev. James Ash of Bridgeport, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, performed the ceremony. Nuptial music was provided by Darwin Newcomer, the bride's nephew, on piano, and the soloist was Katy Scolish. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Matron of honor was June C. Staats, sister of the bride and trainbearer was Dana Newcomer, nephew. The bridegroom's brother, Joseph Page Adams of Salem, served as best man and ushers were Roger Slusher of Belle and David Slusher of Radford, Va., brothers of the bride. After a reception in the church, the couple left for a honeymoon to Black Water Falls. The bride is a graduate of DuPont High School and is employed by WTIP-WTIO FM radio. Her husband attended Roosevelt Wilson High School in Clarksburg and served as sergeant in the Marine Corps. He also attended Northrop Institute of Technology in Englewood, Calif, and was employed by Western Airlines in Los Angeles. He is currently lead customer service agent with Allegheny Airlines at Kanawha Airport.
