'··:* ! *y' ife " FATHER AND DAUGHTER TEAM Jane Harper With a Vizsla and John Harper With a Basenji Dog Show To Feature ,, ~ lbfi^pest Firginia 1C June 23,1974 Dogs, all kinds of dogs, will be entered in the annual all breed and obedience dog show sponsored by the Magic Valley Kennel Club. : .The show will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 ·p.m,July 7 in Charleston's Civic Center. Last year- more than 600 dogs were en- tered.with 01 different breeds and varieties Represented. Entries came from : 26 statesand'Cahada. '^ ; : :; ..';.. It : is the pursuit of "points" toward championship rating-that sends thousands ; of owners to campaign dogs week after week. The prize money, ribbons and the trophies are secondary to the goal of being able,to write "champion" before a dog's name. Each breed of dog has its own standard of perfection. ; Handling dogs is a serious endeavor that requires patierice/perseverence and a sense of timing.
