That the Young Shall Know... Photo hi/ Lawrence Pierce It's a great tradition -- the retelling of America's story, the reaffirmation of the principles that made it great. It is a tradition that the Daughters of the American Revolution have long upheld, for they are great believers in tradition. Even when the popular emphasis was on the questioning of America's principles, practice? and platitudes, the DAR continued with its Americanism essay contests, its Flag Day and Constitution Week observances. Exemplifying the organization's goal of presenting to the young the ideals and aspirations, the pride and patriotism that is America's heritage, are Mrs. V. Eugene Holcombe, regent of Kanawha Valley Chapter of the DAR, and Ann and Margaret Cracraft, twin daughters of Dr. and Mrs. William A. Cracraft. 1C -July 4, 1976
