2C -- August 10,1975 Sunday uett*Mail Wedding Plans Told :Mark Anniversary Today Mooney-Yia Mr. aod Mrs, Joe R*Mooaey of Veaabte Avenue have aanouaced the engagement of their daughter, Patti Jo, to Robert Via. son of Mr. and Mrs. Garland M. Via of Virginia Avenue. The wedding will take place April 10 at Village Chapel Presbyterian. The bride-elect has a B. S. degree in elementary education with a specialization in early childhood education from West Virginia University. Her fiance has a B. S. degree in industrial management from WVU. Wolfe-Wright A wedding on Labor Day, to be performed on the lawn at the home of the bride-elect, is being planned by Miss Sherry Lynn Wolfe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wolfe of Kanawha Two Mile, and Paul Wright, of Baltimore. Md., son of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Wright. The prospective bridegroom is serving with the Marines in Baltimore. * An open reception from 2 to 4 'p.m. today at the Big Chimney Bap- "tist Church will celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Pauley of Pinch. They were married Aug. 4. 1925. at Big Chimney. She is the former Lucille Jarrett and he is retired from the Charleston Post Office. They Open Monday and Friday Nights v TIL 9. are parents of Mrs. Garnet F. Burdette. Mrs. Carl D. Cavendar and Jiggs Pauley of Charleston: Mrs. Thomas B. Walker Jr. of Titusville, Fla.: Charles Estil Pauley Jr. of Torrance. Calif., Mac Pauley of Willard. Ohio, and the Rev. James W. Pauley of Belpre, Ohio. They have 18 grandchildren. Flaugher-Simmons Mr. and Mrs. George W. Flaugher of 108 Maryland Ave are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Myrna Fay, to Harold Ronald Simmons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold I. Simmons of Rt. 1. The open-church wedding will take place at 7:30 pjaa. OB August 22 in the First Weslev- an Church. Miss Flaugher attended East Bank High School and is employed by Charleston Area Medical Center, General Division. Her fiance attended Stonewall Jackson High School and is employed by the West Virginia Department of Highways. Harmon-Wheatley MADISON - Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harmon Jr. of Boone County are announcing the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Janie Marie, to Robert L. Wheatley. Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Wheatley Sr. of Logan County. The wedding will take place on Sept. 13 in Harts Tabernacle. Miss Harmon is a graduate of Scott High · School. Her fiance, a graduate of Chapmanville High School, is employed by Whitesville Coal Co. Slater-Lynch Mr. and Mrs. Bill Slater of Sissonville Road are announcing the engagement of their daughter. Toni Lynn, to Robert Wesley Lynch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lynch Jr., also of Sissonville Road. The open-church wedding will take place on Oct. 4 in the Faith Gospel Tabernacle. Miss Slater and her fiance are graduates of Sissonville High School. She attended West Virginia State College and he is serving with the Air Force at Lackland AFB, Tex. Reception Honorees Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Jordan of Garvin Avenue were honored at a reception in the Fiesta Room of Rose City Cafeteria celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 1,1925. in the family parsonage at Williams- b u r g , by her f a t h e r , the Rev. George H. Echols. He is a retired painting contractor. Hosts for the reception were their daughters. Virginia Jordan and Kathleen Jordan, and son Julian Jordan of Lynch, Ky. They have two granddaughters.
