Pleasant MOUNT PLEASANT, Jan. 31.-Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock Dr. Russell Dixon of the University of Pittsburgh will again offer courses in economics at Ramsay High School as sessions are continued into the second semester. In recent years Westmoreland county has afforded the University of Pittsburgh a popular extension center.' In extension the university sends professors to various cities to offer regular colltfgc courses lor educators who desire to improve their professional training. While Greensburg is apparently, the most favored center in Westmoreland county,) Mount Pleasant ' ranks quite high, j The large number of administrators and teachers taking advantags of the courses indicate their progressiveness. Since the response to the courses offered here and at Grcensbi'rg was so gratifying during the first semester, the university is continuing them into the second semester. - This after- noon the Greensburg grammar school building was the place of the opening session with Dr. William Ycager offering a course in "Current Practices in School Administration. Tonight at 7:30 o'clock he will conduct there a course in "Personal Problems in Educational Administration." These courses are arranged to meet the needs of both administrators and teachers. Tuesday afternoon Dr. Dixon will present his course in Ramsay High. The courses arc "Economic Institutions" and "Current Economic Studies." He had conducted large and enthusiastic economic classes during the first semester here. Somerset, Rockwood Baskeleers Triumph . In Somerset league Somerset came through with a 24-18 victory over Boswell while Rockwood spilled Shanksville to the tune of 27 to 14 in the Somerset County Intcrscholastic Basketball League. Somerset Township of i'riedens spilled Cambria-Rowc Business College of Johnstown, 45 to 23, and Garrett toppled New Florence, 28 to 18, while Windber continued its unde- feated pace by tripping Berlin, 3V to 28. Mcyersdale went down to defeat, 42 to 13, before a snappy Shade Township quintet. Mrs. Eliza J. Wahl Dies al Meyersdale MEYERSDALE, Jan. . 31.--Mrs. Eliza Wahl, wife of Rufus Wahl, died suddenly at her home on Large street; Saturday afternoon from a heart attack. Mrs. Wnhl had been in poor health for some time, although. able to be about and attend to her household duties. She was 75 years old and is survived by her husband, one step-daughter, Mrs. John Booth of Toledo, O., and one sister, Mrs. Mary Hingler of, Waterloo, la. She was a life-long member of the-Church of the Brethren. ·'· ·· · - · Funeral .services will . be held Tuesday "afternoon at 2 o'clock in the church with the pastor, Rev. DcWitt L.
