Tarzan captures a wild stallion in the Sahara Desert, which incurs the wrath of an enemy agent. Pleasant Tarzan adventure has extremely good outdoor photography. "SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR," (1952)***,9p.m.® with Ray Milland and Joan Fontaine. Deft direction by George Stevens gives added luster to his dramatic story of an alcoholic actress saved by an A. A. member who falls in love with her, although he's married. Ladies should enjoy; men will find it interesting too. "THE SWINGER," (1966)' *, 9 p. m., CD with Ann-Margret and Tony Franciosa. Authoress writes a steaming sex novel and proceeds to live out her heroines' adventures. Leering farce, pretending to be a morality fable for addle-brained teenagers, with Ann-Margret looking and acting incapable of reading much less writing a book. It's films like this that gives orgies a bad name. "WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?" (1966) *.*** 11:30 p.m., O w i t h Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Edward Albee's brilliant biting play about the love-hate relationship between a middle-aged, resigned, college professor and his vitriolic, yet seduc- KlizulM-th Tavlor as Virginia Wocilf. tive wife, is turned into a movie experience to be cherished. It's a cinematic feast thanks to Mike Nichols' astute direction, Taylor's towering portrayal as the foulmouthed Martha* Burton's significant portrayal, of the tortured professor and Sandy Dennis' performance as the nervous young bride. "THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA," (1964) **** 11:30 p. m., CD with Richard Burton and Ava Gardner. Tennessee Williams' plays have sometimes been diluted and sentimentalized when transferred to the screen. Thanks to John Huston's expert direction and a literate screenplay, which is largely faithful to the spirit of the original play, this wearing study about genteel losers down on their luck in Mexico becomes a satisfying and moving film. Burton is perfect as a defrocked clergyman bent on destruction; Deborah Kerr is superb playing an anguished spinster: and Ava Gardner, giving one of the best performances of her career, plays the proprietor of a seedy resort hotel with a remarkable quality of restrained sensuality. .. ; ... , Flight commander vanishes in space Evening 6:OOO®®@®OCD® Local news, weather, sports CD Network News S3 Nova ® Hodgepodge Lodge 6:30O®®©©OCD® Network News CD Room 222 ® Taking Better Pictures 7:00 O©© Truth or Consequences ® Tell the Truth © Wally's Workshop O What's My Line CD Klassroom Kwiz GUNSMOKE.
