Criminal is released from prison to get the goods on an underworld boss, Fast moving crime melodrama. "DUNGEONS OF HORROR," (1962) *, 11:30 a.m., cable channel 10, with Russ Harvey and Helen Hogan. Weak thriller about a couple of castaways trapped by an evil count and made prisoner in the 1870's. "HUMAN DESIRE," (1954) **, 1:30 p.m., GD with Glenn Ford and Gloria Grahame. Updated, sex- filled version of Emile Zola's "Human Beast" about an unfaithful wife and a railroad engineer's blind love for her. Ponderous. "BREAKOUT," (1971) **, 2 p.m., CD with James Drury and Kathryn Hays. Prison drama takes a different twist as bank robber Drury becomes thwarted in various escape plans. Wooden dialogue and character follow predictable turns with comic support from Red Buttons. "DRUMS ALONG THE MOHAWK," (1939) ***%, 3 p.m., cable channel (08, with Claudette Colbert and Henry .Fonda. John Ford's direction holds this rambling narrative together and it emerges as an exciting film. Story of a group of farmers in upstate New York who were caught in the middle of the Revolutionary War although they didn't understand its meaning. "DRAGONWYCK," (1946) ",4:30 p.m., cable channel ©), with Gene Tierney and Walter Huston, This film, set about 1850 in a gloomy, mysterious mansion on the Hudson River, is one big bore. *. "THE LAVENDER HILL MOB," (1952) ****, 9 p.m. ® with Alec Guinness and Stanley Holloway. A mild-mannered bank employee evolves a foolproof plan, he thinks, to make away with an armored car gold shipment. Hilarious comedy, fun all the way, another triumph ifor Guinness. "THE NELSON AFFAIR," (1973) **'/2, 9 p.m., G © 05) © ©. The performances of the two leads, Glenda Jackson and Peter Finch, almost make up for the shortcomings of the pedestrian script about the scandalous love affair between Admiral Lord Nelson (Finch) and Lady Hamilton(Jackson). Based on Terence Rattigan's play, A Bequest to the Nation, his screenplay may be too talky for most viewers. However, if you set your store by good acting, the cast, which includes Michael Jayston, Anthony Quayle, Margaret Leighton, and Dominic Guard, couldn't be better. "MAN MADE MONSTER," (1941) ***, 11:30 p.m. 03 with Lon Chaney and Lionel Atwill After being used in a series of experiments, a young man finds that he's immune to electric shock. Familiar science fiction yarn with plenty of technical mumbo-jumbo. "I WAS A MALE WAR BRIDE," (1949) ***, 11:55 p.m., O with Gary Grant and Ann Sheridan. Grant, as an ex-French Army officer, disguises himself as a WAC to accompany his American WAC bride to the U.S. troop ship. Doesn't sound very funny, but it is; stars and script are hilarious. "ARABESQUE," (1966) **%, 2:15 a.m., 8 with Gregory Peck and Sophia Loren. A contrived, not always together successful chase melodrama with handsome Peck and beautiful Loren amid lavish international settings. "PINKY," (1949) ***, 3:45 a.m., O with Jeane Grain and Ethel Barrymore. Strong racial drama dealing with light-skinned Negro girl who comes home to the South. /GOOD FOOD NEWSIIADEVADAVIS HAS HEAVENIY MEALS FOR DOWN KHARTH BUDGETS, SAIUMMQr 5:OOPM ·June 20. 7.976.
