Theodore Roosevelt (1901-1909) Teddy gave them bully all right. He bullied the monopolies, he bullied our neighbors, and the voters loved it. William Hoivard Taft (1909-1913) Taft weighed 400 pounds and was very jolly. He preferred chortling to pursuing the policies of his rambunctious predecessor. This did not please Teddy, who then challenged Taft in 1912. as the candidate of the "Bull Moose" party. This split the Republicans and Woodrow Wilson was elected. Woodrow Wihon (1913-1921) The. class grew disorderly when Wilson moved to the history lesson. Si/nrfov Gazette-Mail. June 2(1,' 1976 Page 9
