rWs)' Grover Cleveland (1885-1889, 1893-1897) · It's a well circulated fact that Grover Cleveland served two non-consecutive terms. But few know that he also adorns the 1000 dollar bill. Still fewer know why. The answer is worth 64 of them. Benjamin Harrison (1889-1893) Remember "George Washington slept here?" Well, Benjamin Harrison slept there non-stop for four years. William McKinley (1897-1901) Cuban-American relations have always gone up in smoke. That didn't deter McKinley. however. He claimed he had gotten the nod from God. and Congress consented to dispatching a few thousand men on horseback to go charging up an obscure Cuban hill.
