Question Box Q. -- I am a Timothy Bottoms fan and I would like to know something about how he started in show business; also, his age and whether or not he is married. I thought his performance in the TV play, "Look Homeward Angel," was wonderful and I have seen the movie "The Last Picture Show" five times.-T. S., Memphis, Tenn. YOU LAY OUT YOUR OWN POOL! Va. 25302 8s CHARLESTON, W. VA. A.--Timothy Bottoms is a 20-year-old native of southern California. He got his acting experience as a member of Youth Theater Productions, Inc., in California, where he played one of the street urchins in "Oliver," Tony in "West Side Story" (yes he sings, too), and Lorenzo in "The Merchant of Venice." His first film role was the starring part in "Johnny Got His Gun," followed by "The Last Picture Show." Bottoms is definitely on his way to stardom. He is still a bachelor. Q.--I heard that Shirley Temple is thinking of giving acting another go-round. Is she going to star in a TV series soon? I enjoyed her "Shirley Temple Storybook" series, but that was some time ago.--C. N., Newtown Square, Pa. A.--Shirley Temple Black is not slated to return to weekly TV with a new se-. ries. However, she made one of her rare TV talk show appearances on the Dick Cavett show as his only guest. Who Reads Want Ads? Who Doesn't? 348-4848 SUNDAY GAZETTE-MAIL
