"Slinky vamp" evening gowns slit to the knee provided excitement. While ether Paris clothes creators muffled their mannequins in billowing ball gowns this season. Balenciaga bound his in white and beige silk cloque gowns so clinging that he should find substitute for the obvious garter belts the girls wore underneath. ' Two of the numbers that brought applause . were reminlsent of Indian ear it' one shoulder . bared, the skirt sharp triangle that swooped to the floor, leaving one leg showing.
