MERRIFIELD . . . .former Elaine Sargent Miss Carol Elaine Sargent, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer F. Sargent of Dunbar, became the bride of Ronald Stephen Merrifield, son of Mrs. Coral Merrifield of 2365 Savory Dr., on Friday in the Dunbar First Church of God. The Rev. Edward Smith officiated and music was provided by Mrs. Delores Sargent, sister- in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Nancy Barry. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Mrs. Debbie Trail was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Debbie Saunders, Miss Susan Hill, Mrs. Beth Reese and Mrs. Sandy Matheny. Merrifield, another brother. Steve Whorly, Gary Wills and Ron Crowder. Following a reception at the church, the couple left for a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. They will live"at the Fairlawn Mobile Park. Mrs. Merrifield graduated from Dunbar High School and Capitol City Beauty College. She is employed by Mary's Beauty Shop in Dunbar. Her husband is a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and West V i r g i n i a State College. He is an em- ploye of the Kroger Co. PORTER . . . former Peggy Stidham was the setting Friday for the marriage of Miss Peggy Lynn Stidham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stidham of Eleanor, and David Gregory Porter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Porter of Buffalo. The Rev. James Davis officiated and Phyllis Covert, pianist, accompanied the soloist, Larry Covert. The bride was given in marriage by her father. * * * DIANA BANE was maid of honor and bridesmaid was Betty Egnor. Billie Jean Stidham, sister of the bride, was the fldwergirl and Shaun Stidham. brother of the bride, was ringbearer. Mark Burgess served as best man. A reception was held in the Eleanor Town Hall. The newlyweds are graduates of Buffalo High School. He is employed at FMC in Nitro. They will reside in Buffalo. With the Rev. LeRoy Keeney officiating Saturday at Highlawn Baptist Church in St. Albans, Miss Cynthia Lynn Neal became the bride of Ralph Richard Ferrell. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul G. Neal and his parents are Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Bentley, all of St. Albans. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Roxanne Evans provided organ music. * * * KATHY BEANE was maid of honor. Dennis Jones served as best man and ushers included Larry Hall and Mike Dillon. A reception f o l l o w e d the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell are graduates of St. Albans High School and he is serving with the Navy at Bainbridge, Md. They will reside in Perryville. Md." He is employed by Big Star as a butcher and is a Vietnam veteran. They are graduates of DuPont High School. Married 60 Years Celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on May 30 at their home in Clendenin were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Six. They were married May 30, 1914, and she is the former Merica Ellen Welch. They are parents of two sons, James and Ray, both of St. Albans, and have three grandchildren, and six .great-grandchildren. Miss Gloria Dolin Married in Georgia Mr. and Mrs. Owen E.
