Gatsby Era Floral Fashions Add to Soft Feminine Look Wear a flower. . . It's the Gatsby era look -the latest fashion message. The soft feminine look is the look of the year -- translated into fluid silks and chiffons, short upswirled hairdos or long curls, and dewy-fresh flowers. The hottest accessories are scarves and great hats topped w i t h fragrant flowers. Roses, daisies or gardenias are favorite fashion accessories, according to the Society of American Florists. Any of these flowers, with wire stem and perhaps a single perfect leaf as backdrop, may be worn nestled just under the neckline, on a scarf, on the cuff, or tucked into the hair. They serve equally well to dramatize a splendid floppy hat for a garden party or summer wedding. THE NEW f e m i n i n e look fortunately does not demand the relegation of the popular p a i n t s u i t to the closet. In- stead, the design is softened with a carnation boutonniere or a cluster of violets on the lapel for business or dress occasions. For a special evening on the town, consult your florist for the latest ideas in floral fashions because there are many new designs for hairpieces, necklaces and rings currently in vogue. Describe your outfit to him carefully and he will create the perfect complement for it. such as a graceful "brooch" for a filmy dress or a smashing floral "epaulet" for the shoulder of an opera cape. * * * PERHAPS HE MAY recommend a "glamellia." This is a f l o r i s t - m a d e f l o w e r formed from the petals of gladiolus florets. The range of colors is wide and the larger- than-life flower becomes an intriguing conversation piece as well as a fashionable, timely accessory. Novelist Fitzgerald's heroine, Daisy Buchanan, would posthumously applaud the rebirth of flowers as an exciting fashion accessory. Prove to yourself what this special touch can do for your spirit and your costume.
