OF INTEREST Special to The Courier. SCOTTDALE, Jan. 19.--Stockholders of the Scottdalc Savings and Trust Company met Wednesday afternoon and elected R. E. Laughrcy, Frank D. Barnhart, R. D. Overholt, Donald C. Kcisler, William Ferguson, Eavl B. Gilbert, Harry Laughrey, Edwin C. Kcister, Fcnton O. Kcistcr and H. C. DefTenbaugh as directors. At a meeting of the board of directors the following officers were chosen: President, Donald C. ICeisler: vice-president, William Ferguson; vice-president, Fcnton O. Keister; secretary-treasurer, Harry Laughrey; assistant treasurer, Albert J. Stricklcr; assistant treasurer, Elizabeth R. Landcnbcrgor; and trust officer, Homer C. Deffcnbaugh. Audit Begun. The borough auditors, George Detwilcr, H. R. Lynn and J. Lowell Miles, began an audit of the books for the year 1D38 Wednesday evening. Covered Dish Dinner. The Missionary Society of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church held a covered dish fellowship dinner in the church Wednesday evening. Party for Girl Scouts. Betty Shirey and Meredith Swartz planned a party for Troop No. 1, Girl Scouts, nt Monday night's meeting. The Scout rooms in the Elks building is being painted, papered and furnished for use by the girls. Officers Installed. The following officers were installed at a meeting of the Woman's Missionary Society of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Wednesday evening at the church: President, Mrs. Harry Engle; vice-president, Mrs. I B. Henderson; secretary, Mrs. Oren Myers; treasurer, Mrs. L. A. Zimmerman; and statistical secretary, Mrs. Walter Haines. ' Mrs. James Trump was leader of the meeting. At the close of a social hour, with refreshments, was a feature, with Mrs. Albert Smail and Mrs. Charles Peterson as hostesses. Project Suspended. Work has been suspended on the field project at Scottdale High School. It will be reopened iboal April 1. The suspension is due to weather conditions. Music Clnb Meet*. The next meeting of the Monday Music Club will be held Monday evening in the Presbyterian Church. The program will be known as a "Slumber Program," and will be in charge of Mrs. Edward Anderson. It will include a double quartet, "Japanese Sunset"; a piano number, "Slumber Song"; a solo, "Baby's Hair is Built of. Sun"; a double trio, "Pirate Dreams"; reading; piano solo; vocal solo, "Slumber Boat"; "Open Thy Blue Eyes"; and chorus, Miss · Theresa ClinKerman will be chairman of the hostess committee.
