13D -June 9. 1974 Sunday Gazette-Mad Charleston, W«l Virginia Decorating for Holiday Can Be Most of the Fun Campers Need Host Families V o l u n t e e r f a m i l i e s a r e needed to be hosts for delegates to the West Virginia National Youth Science Camp. Campers will arrive in Charleston on June 21 for the first leg of their three-week visit. They will be in the Kanawha Valley for two days before leaving for Camp Pocahontas near Bartow. Area industries, camp officials and state officials have planned programs for the teenaged students. Two campers from each state in the nation will be visiting West Virginia. Host families will be asked to provide lodging and meals for one night, as well as transportation to and from various events on Friday, and to the Union Carbide Technical Center the following morning. Lissa Mohler of the West Virginia Department of Commerce is in charge of making housing arrangements for visitors. Prison Escapees Caught MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. (AP) -- Three inmates from the West Virginia Penitentiary were apprehended only hours after they escaped Friday by jumping to freedom from the roof of a former administration building. Guards apprehended Melvin Lambert, 24, and James Worthington, 30, near the grounds of the maximum security institution within two hours of their 6 p.m. escape Friday. Lambert is serving a life prison term for first degree murder from McDowell County and Worthington is serving five 23year terms for second degree murder from McDowell County. jThe third escapee, Donald Williamson, 25, was taken into custody at 4 a.m. Saturday by Benwood police and Marshall County sheriff's deputies. Williamson, serving a Jackson County sentence for kidnaping was considered dangerous, officials said.
