(AP) - Corning Glass Works said Saturday it was recalling 360,500 electric percolators because of complaints from several consumers that they were injured when the percolators came apart. The recall affects certain lOcup models made during 1974, the company said. An epoxy material binding the handle to the pot has weakened, the company said, and can cause the glass-ceramic pot and the stainless steel collar to separate. Corning said a defective pot could be identified in the following ways: · It must have model numbers E1210, E1210-4 or E1210-8, found behind the handle. * It must have no number on the stainless steel band at the right of the handle. »· Inside the pot, there must be a dot to the left of either the eight-or 10-cup capacity mark. Persons who own a defective pot can obtain a free replacement by following instructions which will be available after July 7 at local Corning retailers, the company said.
