Special to Th* Courier. ' SCOTTDALE, April 11.--The Scott- J dale Lodge of Elks held their annual installation last evening'for tie officers elected for the ensuing year. The : grand lodge was represented by Past- Exalted Rulers James B; Millard and Edward Duggan of Connellsville and a corps of installing oflicers from Mouessen and . ConneUsville and surrounding towns. The officers installed were: , Exalted ruler, Wilfred * v S. McKeon; esteemed leading knight, ' M. A. Senner; esteemed loyal knight, Fred D. Askey; treasurer, Harry ; iaughrey, Jr:, secretary. James Kee-. San; tyler, John T.,Hambry; delegate to the grand lodge meeting,. James Bates. Exalted .Ruler JlcKeon announced that he would appoint'com- mittees and other officers af some other time.' After the session of lodge a banquet was served ;vt the Elks' home where the members of Colonel Ellsworth Post, No. 209, G; A. R., were the guests of the Elks. -The celebration of Appomattox Day was joined with the installation services. The toastmaster. was. G.. E. .HuUlemeir. The 11 o'clock toast was given by James B. ^Millard , of -C'onnejlsville. The toastmaster presented Past Exalted Ruler James Bates with a solid ; sold Elks' charm as- a token of esteem and respect Front .an. orator- ·. } ical standpoint, the real hit of the, eve-, ning was the patriotic address by Attorney Ben Paul Brasley of Pittsburg. j Two silk nags -were presented b y ' . James Keegan in behalf of the order to Robert Barkell and James Strickler as tokens of Appreciation from the lodge. Entertainment was given by ''Jack'-' Keefer of Monessen and i '"Doc" Boisseau of Smlthtoa.' ,' -' Benefit Bridge. '-' Mrs. Ben Miller entertained at a benefit bridge whist at nor home here yesterday.
