ft July 20,1975 Susan Kay Cavender Bride Of Stephen Michael Shaffer I July 27 Reception Planned Open house will be observed from 2 to 5 p.m. on July 27 as Mr. and Mrs. Noah Wentz celebrate their golden wedding anniversary in their home at Tad. Married July 25,1925, she is the former Ora Taylor and he is retired from Columbia Gas Co. after 31 years service. They are parents of seven children, six of whom are living: Kenneth Wentz and Mrs. Gloria Norman of Tad; Mrs. Monna Fleshman of Maiden; Clarence Wentz of Pinch; Mrs. Helen Gallagher of Westmont, N.J.; and Dennis Wentz of Campbells Creek Drive. Completing the family are 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Wentz also will be honored on Saturday evening at a family dinner hosted by their children. Tbe home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl D. Cav- eoder on Perodate Drive was the setting for the garden wedding and reception on Saturday morning when their daughter. Miss Susan Kay Cavender, became the bride of Stephen Michael Shaffer, son of Mrs. Rex A. Shaffer of Dunbar and the late Mr. Shaffer. The Rev. Cyril Johnston performed the ceremony and the bride was given in marriage by her father. A musical program was presented by Charlene Carper and Mario Stowers. Becky Thumm was matron of honor for her sister and Becky Zegeer was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Lawrence and the bridegroom's sister, Cathy Shaffer. * * * STEVE RICHARDSON served as best man and ushers included Jim Waiters and the bridegroom's brothers, Tom, Dick and Rex Shaffer. Mr. and Mrs. Shaffer will make their home on Hall Street after a wedding trip through the Monongahela National Forest. Campbell of St. Albans,.became the bride of Arthur Stephen Heiman II, son of Mrs. Aberigel V. Heiman of St. Albans, and Henry Heiman II of New YofK City, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in St. Andrew United Methodist Church. The Rev. Melvin Risinger officiated and music was provided by Brian Roderick. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Miss Penny Trowbridge was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Carl Unrue and Miss Diana Campbell. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Donna Campbell, sister of the bride, and Maredia Workman was flowergirl. « * * THE BRIDEGROOM'S father served as best man. Ushers were Gary Watson, Tom Weaver, Doug and Dickie Campbell, brothers of the bride. Following a reception at the St. Albans Woman's Club, the couple left for a wedding trip to Ohio. They will live at Ordnance Park in St. Albans. Mrs. Heiman has a B.S. degree in education from West Virginia State College, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi educational honorary. She is working at Piedmont Elementary School for the summer and has been employed by the Put- -H~ MRS. A. S. Her husband has a B.S. degree in business administration from Morris Harvey College and.is employed as a manager- trainee by the J. C. Penney Co.
