This recently developed method of instruction is the most innovative and effective program available in the I'nitecl States. Not only does this lamous course reduce your time in the classroom to just one class per week for 4 short weeks but it also includes an advanced speed reading course on cassette tape so that you can continue to improve for the rest of vour life. In just 4 weeks the average student should be reading 4-5 times faster. In a few months some students are reading 20-30 times faster attaining speeds thai approach 6000 words per minute. In rare instances speeds of up to 13.000 wpm have been documented. Our average graduate should read 7-10 limes faster upon completion of the course with marked improvement in :omprehension and concentration. For those who would like additional information, a series of free, one hour, orientation lectures have been scheduled. At these free lectures the course will be explained in complete detail, i n c l u d i n g classroom procedures, instruction methods, class schedule and a special 1 time only introductory tuition that is less than one-third the cost of similar courses. You must attend any of the meetings for information about the Charleston classes. These orientations are open to the public, above age 14. (persons under 18 should be accompanied by a parent if possible). If you have always wanted to be a speed reader but found the cost prohibitive or the course too time consuming . . now you can! Ad-.- I Blazer For Trail Sought Volunteer help is needed to blaze remaining portions of the new Allegheny Trail through Virginia and West Virginia, according to Bruce Bond of the West Virginia Scenic Trials Assn. Bond pointed out that about half of the 210-mile trial follows existing trails. "We're doing work hikes now clearing the remaining routes," he added. "Anyone is welcome to come along and help." The trial passes through the Jefferson, George Washington and Monongahela National Forests enroute from Peters Mountain near Pearisburg, Va., to Blackwater Falls State Park near Davis. Bond said the new trail, with its 24-inch wide footpath, is chiefly for hiking and not a trailbike or horse path. It isn't a true wilderness area trail, he pointed out, following secondary roads in some locations while passing along areas of human habitation in others. THE ROUTE SKIRTS the Virginia-West Virginia border before crossing over into the Greenbrier River Valley. It roughly parallels this valley to Cass. where it follows the Cass Scenie Railroad tracks across Bald Knob Mountain into the wilderness Shavers Fork River Valley. The trail crosses Gaudineer Knob and heads along Shavers Mountain through Alpena Gap and then to Blackwater Falls. Instead of dead-ending there. Bond said, it will eventually join the proposed Potomac Heritage Trial near the park. Persons desiring further information on the Allegheny Trail should write to West Virginia Scenic Trials Assn..
