BRYAN Lion Official Lions To Hear Bryan A past Lions International president will be guest speaker at an awards dinner and program of the West Virginia Motor Truck Association Affiliates next Saturday at the Charleston Civic Center. W. R. Bryan of Akron, Ohio, who held the highest elective office in the service organization, is employed as community services director for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Nearly 400 company executives, safety supervisors, drivers and other guests are expected to attend the dinner. Association President Charles W. Dawson of Williamson will be toastmaster. The program will include a truck driving roadeo on the Charleston Ordance Center grounds beginning at 8 a.m. Harold Gainer, managing director of the association, said 49 drivers will participate in six truck classes to determine this year's West Virginia team in the national roadeo scheduled for September 14 through 17 in Minneapolis, Minn. M.U. Plans July Music Camp HUNTINGDON - The Marshall University Department of Music will have a music camp for high school students here July 16-25. Vaclav Nelhybel. a European-trained composer and conductor, will instruct high school instrumentalists and a concurrent college workshop. High school singers will work with Dr. Peter Bagley, professor of music at the State University of New York at New Paltz. A special w o r k s h o p for piano students will be conducted with the assistance of the West Virginia Arts and Humanities Council workshop for piano students will be conducted with the assistance of the West Virginia Arts and Humanities Council and the West Virginia Music Teachers Assn. All groups will give public concerts at the conclusion of the camp. Tuition for the camp is $25, and the only admission requirement is that the student be a participant in a public or parochial school music program and be in grades nine through 12 this fall or have graduated from high school this year. Registration forms may be obtained from Dr. James Taggart, Summer Music Camp Director, Department of Music, Marshall University, Huntington, W.Va., 25701. The camp will be located on the Marshall campus. Jackson Art Show Planned RIPLEY - The fourth an- n u a l J a c k s o n C o u n t y A r t Show, sponsored by the Woman's Club of Ripley. will be held from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m.
