Question Box Q. -1 have become a big fan of Lee Remick with all her TV appearances this year. What is the name of the movie in which she played with Montgomery Clift and an old lady actress in a story about the Tennessee Valley Authority in the '30s?--D.F., Eugene, Ore. . . _ A. -- You're thinking of the 1960 film, "Wild River," which costarred Lee Remick, Montgomery Clift and Jo Van Fleet, as the matriarch of a brood who wouldn't give up her family's land to the Tennessee Valley Authority. * * * Q. -- I respect a star's privacy, but I think if a singer like Cat Stevens continues to make albums, he should at least make a few appearances on TV for his many fans who buy those albums. Will Cat Stevens be on TV soon?--Mrs. F.V., Memphis, Tenn. A. -- Cat Stevens has not set any TV appearances. He never has been one, to over-expose himself in any medium... .and that includes the concert stage. Television Movies Saturday "SOLOMON AND SHEBA," (1959) **Vz, 9 p.m., O ® © © ®. Good escapist fare; lavish spectacle with the emphasis on pictorial splendor and not the script. Gina Lojlobrigida is quite appealing as the voluptuous Queen of Sheba and Yul Brynner fits comfortably in the role of King Solomon. A large supporting cast includes George Sanders, Marissa Pavan, and David Farrar. "IRMA LA DOUCE," (1963) ***Vz, 9 p.m., 0 GD. The very talented producer-director-writer Billy Wilder took the Broadway musical, extracted the musical ·numbers, and came up with a delightful raucous comedy about Par- is prostitutes and their procurers. Jack Lemmon is forced into leading a double life to keep his love, streetwalker Shirley MacLaine, and his energetic performance is among his best. Miss MacLaine is perfect as the sweet tart named Irma, and Wilder has punched up the proceedings with style and a spirit of fun. TERMITES SWARMING?
