That's The Way It Is." (1970).**%, 9p.m.,O©®© ©. Elvis Presley fans will enjoy everv frantic frame of this documentary about Elvis in a 1970 Las Vegas stint. We see Elvis in rehearsal, in performance, backstage and in his dressing room . . . while fans, friends, promoters, publicists and all his entourage discuss the rock and roll king. "THE FAMILY NOBODY WANTED" (Made for TV) (1975) **'/s, 8:30 p.m., (BCD. Heartwarming and sentimental true story of a minister, his loving wife and the brood of kids they adopt. The twist here is that the kids are of mixed ethnic background, and their acceptance by leaders of the congregation forms most of the tale. Shirley Jones (back to a sweeter role after her histrionic flight in Winner Take All strikes the right note as the minister's wife who can't close her heart to an orphan in need, and James Olson adds his customary authority as the patient husband. Based on Helen Doss's book about her family. "IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA," (1956) **, 12:15 a.m., ® with Donald Curtis and Faith Domergue. A U.S. submarine tangles with a giant octopus. Under any conditions, this is a good spy story, but judged as a made-for-TV- film, it is an even more impressive achievement. f- "THE BANK DICK," (1940) ****, 5 a.m., O with W. C. Fields.
