And in Charleston, for half a century, a rose show has been a rose show has been a rose show. The golden anniversary show of the Charleston Rose Society will be open to the public from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. next Sunday with awards being presented at 7 p.m. It will be held in the State Capitol Complex, 1700 Washington St. E. Entries will be received from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to be followed by judging. Tags and containers will be furnished by the society. Mr. and Mrs. E. Forrest Jones are co-chairmen of this year's event. A new feature this year will be the awarding of queen and king trophies in miniature rose classes.
