14C Pauley-Stewart Rite Held Weddings Prompt Summer Travels Married Saturday at the Briar Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. C. A. Rogers officiating, were Miss Drema Rena Stewart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benja-. min Stewart Jr. of South Charleston., and Michael L Paaley. son of Mr. and Mrs- Stephen R. Pauley of Sod. Mr. and Mrs. Hector C. Chrest Jr. sang a duet, accompanied by Cheryl Salisbury, pianist, and the bride was given in marriage by her father. £-. K MATRON OF HONOR was Bonnie Stewart, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Diana Nunn and Renee Holstine. Stephanie Curry and Wendy King, nieces of the bridegroom, were the flower- girls. Robert Ruby was best man and ushers were Stephen R. Pauley Jr., brother of the bridegroom, and Danny C. Stewart, brother of the bride. Bradley Curry, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ringbearer. * * » A RECEPTION was held at the church, and the couple will honeymoon at Blackwater Falls. They will reside at Lot 41, Mobile Manor, Strawberry Road, St. Albans. The bride graduated from George Washington High School and is a student at MRS. M. L. PAULEY . . .former Drema Stewart West Virginia State College where she is majoring in elementary education. Her husband graduated from Duval High School and is employed by the South Charleston Division of FMC Corp. Miss Sharon Rose Harrah Wed On Saturday to Terry Beckett The Apostolic Holiness ChurcE at Tornado was the setting on Saturday for the wedding and reception when marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Sharon Rose Harrah and Terry Beckett. MRS. TERRY BECKETT . , . former Sharon Harrah She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erf- gar R. Harrah Sr. of Tornado, and his parents are Mr. and Mrs. Omer Beckett of Hurricane. The Rev. Daniel G. Coleman performed the ceremony and the bride was given in marriage by her father. Nuptial music was furnished by Deborah Lawrence, pianist, and Rebeckah Smith, vocalist. MRS. ANITA HARRAH was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. .Karen Thomas, Mrs. Marian Copen, Miss Priscilla Carter, Miss Rebecca Anderson and Miss Cathy Brammer. Leslie Fitzwater and Joey Trimble were flowergirl and ringbearer. Roger Hodges served as best man and ushers included Edgar R. Harrah Jr., Roger Harrah, Daniel Coleman, Timothy Trimble and Melvin Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Beckett will make their home in Hurricane on their return from a wedding trip. She was educated at St. Albans High School. He graduated from Hurricane High School and is employed by 64 Truck Service in Hurricane. Mrs. Margaret Bouetard has retimed to her none at One Moms Street following a five-week vacation in Florida. She visited a daughter, Mrs. Goldie Legg, in Miami for one week; a son and daughter- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Summers of Miami Beach for two weeks. She attended the graduation of the Sumpers's two children from Gainesville University: Robert Payne with a degree in law, and Kay who majored in broadcasting. Mrs. Legg and Mrs. Bouchard drove to Amelia Island where they spent two weeks with another son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Summers. Mrs. Bouchard then drove to Atlanta, Ga., for a week's stay. Miss Sharon Strieker, who became the bride of Roi Owen Reed on Thursday, was honored with showers given by Melissa Robinson, Debbie Proctor, Joyce Reed, Elizabeth Thomas and Mrs. Bruce Reed and by members of the office staff of the Charleston Linen Service, where she is employed. * * * MR. AND MRS. Raymond N. Miller of Glenwood Avenue have returned from Suitland, Md., where he gave the bride away, on June 27 when his daughter, Miss Vonda Rae Miller, was married to Charles Dennis Willett in St. Bernardine's Catholic Church there. The Millers celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on the same date. Before returning home, they also visited with Miss Louise Blake in Arlington, Va. Miss Miller's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Gertz of Baltimore, Md., are spending the holiday weekend with them and with another brother- io4aw and sister, Mr. and Mrs. R. Jones of Mayflower Drive. The Rev. and Mrs. Calvin S. Rice of Dunbar entertained with the rehearsal dinner at the First Presbyterian Church in Dunbar for the marriage of their son.
