Deter WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS - Okhi- mers still call it "The Casino," aod the buffet luncheons there have ben a Greenbrier tradition for generations. But its official name is the "Golf Club." and it's now undergoiag a multimillion- dollar refurbishug and reconstruction. . Workers are busy around the clock rushing the project to completion by early summer. There will be dining facilities for 1.000 in the new facility. The basic purpose of the building, however, has not been forgotten. "It will be everything you ever wanted in the golf club bouse: fully equipped pro shop, locker rooms, new cocktail lounge, a grill dining room and several dining areas arranged to allow a full panorama of all the golf courses," writes Samantha Brown, director of publicity at the resort. The casual atmosphere of the club will continue. A happy hot? will be held each afternoon, with hors d'oeuvres created by Greenbrier chefs as a temptation to dine on the adjoining verandah, set with candlelit tables and with musk from a combo. Groundskeepers report the courses came through the mild winter in good condition. More than a mile of additional cart paths have been installed, and the condition of the sand traps has been improved.
