Spears to Attend Parsons'Rally A's Edge Yankees, Features Split Ford by 5-4 Count 22 Team Reunion By Local Stars Of! Athjeoc Dr. dartre W. Swears arni of his 1922 Virginia University football team, along with Athletic Director Harry Stansburv. will celebrate their anniversary at a minion of this great team in Morgaiituwn oo Friday asd Saturday, Oct. 5-6.

A committee, headed by Phi! Hill of Charleston, announced Saturday that Spears had agreed to come here from hL home in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to attend the reunion. He was here five years ago for the 35th reunion of the squad at Morgantown. The team also held reunions in 1957, 1952 and 1947. Most all of this squad is still alive and healthy and, as usual, most of them will be at the reunion. The committee announced that Dr.

Spears would be flown from his home to Morgantown on Oct. 5. Mrs. Spear? will accompany him. Stansbury is now in retirement on his farm near Beckley.

The 1922 team was the only one in WVU history to go undefeated. It had a 10-0-1 record, the only blot being a 12-12 tie in a game here in Charleston with Washington and Lee. Among its 10 victories was a Hl-K) post-season victory over Gonzaga in California. The reunion will get under way with a dinner on Friday night.
