G. Von Almen Chairman Dinner Committee. Members of the auxiliary to the El Paso County Medical society have announced committees for the entertainment which is to be given for the doctors and wives who arrive next week for the convention. Mrs. S.

G. Von Almen is chairman for the dinner which is to be given in Hotel Paso Del Norte Thursday evening for the visiting women. Mrs. L. G.

Witherspoon will assist Mrs. Von Almen. The chairmen of other committees are: Music. Mrs. H.

Sibley and Billv Hall, Sam L. A. Marshall, (Sambo) was four years old Friday, and in celebration of the occasion, his mother gave a party for him and his young friends at the Marshall home in Palms Court. Halloween decorations were elaborately used and red candies lighted the rooms. Candles in miniature holders were favors for the guests and the birthday anniversary cake was lighted with four waxen tapers and was marked with name.

Ice cream, cake and confections were served and games were diversions for the young guests. Mrs. Marshall was assisted with entertaining by her sister, Mrs. E. P.

Smithson and Mrs. Jack Vowell, and the children present were: Herbert Skidmore, Billy Taylor, Jean Lassester, Bobby Lassester, Marshall Willis, Joe Sam Willis, Mildred Bosemary Willis, Doris Deaner, Jack Wasmer. A Halloween frolic given by the Bed Cross of William Beaumont hospital Friday evening for patients and personnel of the hospital.

The recreation room was attractively decorated with Halloween colors and many yellow chrysanthemums. Lighting effects were in charge of George Loutan. There were Halloween games, stunts, musical numbers and dancing. Games were in charge of Mrs. Frank Saunders, Miss Dora Luther, Miss Ann Stevens and Miss Rena Sheat.

The grand march took place at 8:15 oclock and prizes were awarded for the best costume and the most comical costume. These prizes were the gifts of Mrs. J. Leland Gordy. Judges for the costumes were Mrs.

O. B. Daly, Basmus Sunde and J. C. Mahoney.

A prize was won by L. H. Smith. This was the gift of Mrs. Nina Bishop Stearns and was made in the occupational therapy department of the hospital.

Hot chocolate and doughnuts were served by Mrs. E. T. Herpin, Mrs. Edna Stephens and Miss Jessamine Collinson.

A Halloween party was given Friday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur MeCreary, 2215 Silver street, for the teachers and officers of the junior department of the Sunday school of the First Baptist church. Halloween colors and emblems were used in decoration and the guests were received by a Games were played and the guests were invited to the back lawn, where a sat at a tent door beside a kettle steaming over a fire.

Another rtf the interesting Halloween parties was given by Miss Willodean Sommer for the junior department of Immanuel Baptist church. Halloween decorations were featured. Befreshments were served and prizes for the most picturesque costumes were won by Iris Oliver, Cleo Kolb, Jack Lucky and Wesley Chamness. The judges were Miss Hazel Procter, Mrs, Frank Braem and Charles Bobbins. Those who assisted the hostess with entertaining were Mr.
