Women, every day, are becoming more and more involved in the labor force in our society. As a result, they have little time in which to worry about trivialities such as hair styling. The 12th annual Breck Survey shows that only two out of 10 women did not visit a beauty shop in 1958. They no longer have time to spend on the "exact" arrangement of their style--so the beauticians have the job. ONE OUT of three women changed her hair style once or more during the past year--a tendency more popular with younger women.

Despite the fact that most women rave about straight hair, the survey shows that one out of 10 has curly hair and one out of four has wavy hair. Men, it is generally assumed, prefer long hair on their women. However, half the women wear their hair short. The survey also shows that only four per cent of the women surveyed wore a hairstyle suggested by the "head of the house." How many natural blondes are there in the population? The survey shows that fewer than one out of four girls at age 18 have blonde liair. Only three per cent are natural red heads and 67 per cent have brown hair.

A WOMAN'S major hair prob- blems are dandruff, oily hair and hair falling out from the younger set and manageability and dry hair from older women. Other important points discovered through the survey includes that seven out of ten women admit to some degree three out of ten women had of gray in the natural color some form of hair coloring of their hair and the nearly treatments during 1958.
