Another letter was to his wife, Mrs. Mamie Powell. No. 4861 Atlantic street. In this Powell regretted that he was ara- ted from his wife.

He told her to give his clothing to some deserving poor person. Powell also wrote to his mother in Logansport, saying that he had lost his place as conductor on a State street horse car because he had been late on three trips in sue- i cession.
