Steven Frank Dembowski, age 78, of W. Hwy 5, Bowdon, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at his residence. He was born May 14, 1926. in Dixon, PA to the late Joseph Debowski and Antoinette Rutkowski Dembowski. Mr.

Dembowski retired from the U.S. Marine Corp having served in WWII in Europe, the Philippines, the Mediterranean and Japan and in the Korean Conflict in the Battle of Inchon, in later years he worked in beverage sales. He was very active in many organizations including serving as a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, past Grand Knights-Council 8731, Past District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the DAV, VFW, drove the DAV van to the Veterans Hospital, served as a patient representative at the VA Hospital, was a member of the American Legion Post a member of the Carroll County Community Theatre, the ARC, a Boy Scout Leader in early years and was always very active at his church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Constance Rose Dembowski; brothers, Stanley, Anthony, Chester and Michael; and sisters, Anna and Sophie.
