Out of the chaos of democratic hopes certain 'definite ambitions are beginning to evolve. A positive announcement was made yesterday that Under-sheriff C. B. Wood would be a candidate at the primaries for the office of sfate senator. The friends of Mr.

Wood urge in his behalf, first that lie aMisouri democrat and that he. has an aotive worker in the party during his residence in the val-ljy. It is further stated that he was graduated from Westminster College Missouri in 1S94 and that institution was at that time one of less thnn half a dozen in the United States w'hose curriculum included the study of. parliamentary law. It is still further urged by the democratic friends of Mr.

Wood that in an aggregation of democrats such as they believe the first legislature of Arizona will be. it Is Important that somebody know something of parliamentary law. Another candidate for the state senate from this county will be A. Davis and it lias leen definitely announced that W. Teel of the Os-born district will be a candidate for the legislative assembly.

An authorized statement was made some time ago that Sheriff Ilayden would le a candidate for representative in con-; but gress. Of that there is no doubt. Major Ilayden who lias been at Camp Perry as a member of the team of the X. G. A.

In December, 1910, Barron and associates organized a corporation called The Daily Globe Publishing company, and through the medium of this company Barron conducted thd publication of the paper until the 14th of the pres ent month. Xelther Barron nor his company ever paid any of the sums agreed by the contract nnd lease to be paid, but postponed and excused payment from to time until th -y had held the plant for over thirteen months without paying a dollar for its use. At the time the contract was made it was agreed that If default was made by Barron or his successors the plant and iill property, including contracts, might be retaken by Mr.
