DeWINTON. Mrs. Harry F. DeWinton died yesterday afternoon at 958 East Van Buren street. She leaves a husband and one child, a brother who resides in CaliAfornia, a mother and sister in Indiana, one brother and two sisters living in Oregon.

The body was taken in charge by Easterling and Whitney and the funeral arrangements will be announced later. GUDE TYME DANCE--The Phoenix colored orchestra, late arrivals in Phoenix, will be the special attraction at the "Gude Tyme Dance" at Melczer's hall this evening. Irvin yesterday was sold for Mrs. Anna Anderson, lots 1 2 3 and 4 of Evans to Orangewood tract five on Central neddition, Avenue, to Fred Colter of Apache county, for a consideration of $3000. The lots are five acre tracts with no improvements and the land brought $125 per acre. It is in fine district and Mr. Colter will improve the tract and build a residence for a winter home.

Mr. Irvin reports the inquiries for these small home tracts as very good at present. CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION- An examination for clerk and carrier will be held at the postoffice in this city on March 25, 1908. Age limits, 18 to 45 years, on the date of the examination. Married women will not be admitted to the examination.

Unmarried women will be admitted to the examination, but are eligible for appointment only as clerk. Applicants be physically sound, and male applicants applicants must be not less than five feet 4 inches in height without boots or shoes, and weight not less than 125 pounds, without overcoat or hat. Regarding the conditions at the Hercules mine they were greatly pleased, and every indication there is favorable for a big producer and a bonanza proposition as development proceeds.
