Further details of the sport may be obtained locally by calling Cliff Driskill, 463-2090. Frank Ross, Reno, was aviator of the Cessna 180 from which the jumps were made. Sunday's sky-divers were Ro-iand and Linda Lee and Cliff Driskill of Yerington; club vice president, Dave Brown, Rick Purcell, Bob Allen and Ron Blackbern, all of Reno. If the jumper compensates for drift in the higher level, he may find he is being blown far beyond when he reaches the next one and perhaps does not have the time to get back over the target before landing.

Golfers at the Mason Valley Country Club Sunday were entertained by sky-divers jumping from a plane at 7500 feet altitude. The seven participants are members of the Nevada Sky Divers, sport parachute jumpers. Linda Lee of Yerington made one of the best jumps of the day, landing exactly on target. Linda has made five static line jumps, in which the parachute 'is automatically opened and her first free fall Sunday. Bob Allen, president of the club, made another spectacular landing when he landed on his feet.

A 30-second delay was allowed by the free jumpers before pulling the rip cord to release the parachute. This insures that the chute will not become entangled in the plane. Allen reported there has never been a serious injury in the Reno branch of the club, that there is no real danger in the sport if all safety rules are fol RICHARD E.
