CFJP officially goes on the air Sunday (Sept. 7) at 5:25 p.m. It will be an important moment in Canadian broadcasting history, one that no one should miss. You may have missed the magic moments of CBCs television debut in 1 952 or the 1961 launches of CTV and TVA. But here's your chance to.be present at the creation of Canada's newest television network.

Jean Pouliot, major shareholder of CFCF, Inc. and chief executive officer of Quatre Saisons, will launch the network with a short speech on Sunday afternoon. The existence of Quatre Saisons will keep Radio-Canada and Tele-Metro-pole on their toes, scrambling to maintain their market shares.

The scramble will inevitably lead to more innovative programming at the existing French networks.
