Sherfy, who was busily engaged in waiting on his customers la his grocery bouse on Main street, to his home be yond. Mr. Sherfy held several offices of trust during his long residence here, among which was sheriff, which he filled with credit to himself and honor to the county. Funeral services was held at the home Monday after noon, conducted by Rev. Ralph Kemper, after which the remains were followed by a -large concourse of people to their last resting place in the Lakin cemetery.
