Discretely two or three blinds mil anchor and start their slow and steady ambush They move so slow you can barely discern any movement as they try to close in on the rafting birds As they get closer the birds, too. start drifting along, just barely outside effective shotgun range and the game goes on until the hunters' patience finally wears thing and someone gets up to take a shot. That, of course, lifts the whole Hock off the water and the rest of the hunters empty their guns at the departing geese.

The Hock then settles down elsewhere on the lake and the game starts all over again. Unsporting act It's a shame th.it a lot ol Quebec hunters still try to up on geese, both on land and water. It's unsporting and, at times, illegal. In an area used so heavily by migrating gee.se one would expect goose hunting to have evolved into a highly sophisticated art. On.

Quebecers try to surprise ratting geese in floating blinds drive the farm roads in hopes of spotting a feeding Hock and maybe drop one if luck is with them, or blast away with high powered rifles at a I lock on some backwoods pond during the moose hunting season.
