TIIE ARIZONA REPUBLICAN: FRIDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 0, 1900. HOW TO GET IT IN YOUR FAVOR. Make a. first-class reliable article like the CHARTER OAK Stove and Rancre. Ezra, FUNERAL OF MRS.

CRABB The Lofty Estimation in. Which This Dead Woman Was Held. The funeral of Mrs. Jennie Root Crabb, wife of Mr. Delmore D.

Crabb, took place yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, interment being made in the Phoenix cemetery. The funeral services were held from the home of Mrs. Iavis, sister-in-law of the deceased, in the Isaacs district, three miles west of the dry. where death so suddenly overtook the fair young mother at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Kev.

V. Cowan of the First M. E. vhurch preached a tender, sympathetic funeral oration, and music was furnished by -Mr. O.

H. Christy. Mrs. Rogers and Miss Christy. Fifty vehicles formed the funeral cortege that followed the remains to their last resting place.

The deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. Anderson Root, of the Cart-wright district. She was born April 4. 1ST5, ire Lincoln, and spent the days of her young girlhood principally in Cas3 county. Neb.

In the fall of 1S92 she accompanied her father's family to Arizona, and lived here ever since. December 22, 1S9T, she was united in marriage to Mr. Delmore D. Crabb. A little over a year later a daughter was born to the young couple and was named Zelda.

On the morning of her death a young son was born and was named Anderson, in memory of nor father, by the young mother. The young Infant survives and promises to grow up into a healthy tooyhood. Mrs. Crabb realized that her vitality was ebbing and told those around her that she could not live. Everything 'possible was done to stay the fast expiring life, but without avail.

Mrs. Davis, a sister of Mr. Crabb. will take the two little motherless chllCi-en and raise them as her own. The deceased was a most exemplary young woman, of a lovely disposition, and sprang from1 Scotch ancestors of sterling worth.

Some years since she joined' the Presbyterian church of this city and lived a most consistent Christian life. In addition to her little ones and husband she leaves a widowed mother and three brothers to mourn their loss. Her presence will be sadly missed from the family circle. FUNERAL OF J. P.

McWILLIAMS Testimony of the Esteem in Which the Dead Was Held If the worth of a man is measured by the formal respect shown him at his funeral. Phoenix never lost a citizen who had been held in greater esteem than- the late J. P. Mt.AVilliams. who was buried last Wednesday.

The funeral was under the direction of the Knights of Pythias, of which the dead man had been one of the most active members. The services were held at the stricken home on East Monroe street, after which the pioeession, healed by the Pioneer band, moved to the cemetery. The uniform rank came next and was followed by almost the entire membership of the lodge. Then came the fire department, of which Mr. Me-Willian-a was also a member.

Crape was wreathed about the machines. This part cf the precession may be said to have been only a formal demonstration of sorrow for the dead.but the rest of it was not. It was made up of a long line of neighbors of Mr.MeWilliams and of business men and others who. though not neighbors, knew him well and admired his sterling worth ami his good citizenship. It is true, as the length of the funeral cortege indicated.

Phoenix had never lost a better citizen. A beautiful 'line uf pattern 'hats u'i Soofi, Id's, Thursday. November Along about nineteen the girl begins to lo.vk and act bke her moth. r. and then people know he no princess.
