The new center is the fourth of eight city-owned and city-built district health headquarters to be opened thus far this year. It is the first in Brooklyn and faces the Williamsburg housing project which opens for tenants next month. Three stories in height, the health center is constructed of brick and stone.

The first floor contains a spacious lobby, conference and waiting rooms, dental, oral hygiene, maternity and infant welfare clinics, as well as sections for treatment of tuberculosis, venereal diseases and an X-ray room. On the second floor will he offices of the district health department and staff, nurses quarters and health education facilities.
