The foreign ministry said the report "contains slanted and unacceptable comments and judgments." A U.S. diplomatic source said the report was "very mild." Diplomats said the Brazilians objected to the principal of the United States evaluating what they saw as an internal matter more than to the wording of the report. A spokesman for the Bra zilian foreign ministry said the military aid would continue to be rejected even if the U.S. government changes or cancels any or all of the strings attached. "It is a dead issue," he said.

"Finished." Two recent investigations by non-brazilian organizations reported that although torture has diminished under Geisel it continues to exist. Geisel has eased the iron-fisted control of his military predecessors who overthrew the civilian government of BRASILIA (UPI) -frazil has rejected a U.S. of $50 million in military aid, because it was accompanied by a report on human rights in Brazil which the government termed "slanted and unacceptable." 7 Argentina and Uruguay re-ejected U.S. military assis-. tance last Tuesday for reasons.

ambassador John HDrimmins was called to the Brazilian foreign ministry "Saturday and handed a note ''in which Brazil rejected the offer of credit for purchase of military materiel. The' note said the military-backed government of President Ernesto Geisel rejected "in advance any assistance in the military area that depends, directly or indirectly on prior examination by organs of a foreign government of matters, that by their nature are of exclusive competence of the Brazilian government." On Friday the U.S. embassy sent the Brazilian foreign ministry a memoran president Joao Gou-lart in April, 1964, but Brazil remains under a government which is basically military. Geisel was not elected. He was chosen by the military and approved by the congress.

Two boys steal bus 'for fun' NEW YORK (UPI) -Two 14-year olds stole a 40 foot-long Greyhound bus "for fun" on Saturday and navigated down Fifth across Central Park and onto the Henry Hudson Parkway until they encountered the bane of all New York Drivers: The bottleneck. Police said one of the boys handled the bus "like a pro." Greyhound officials said he was an escapee from the Manhattan State Mental Hospital. The Greyhound spokesman said the boy told police he stole the bus about 1:30 a.m. "because he thought it would be fun."
