Mr. Justice Bruneau set aside the marriage of William Munro on the ground that it had been performed without Munro's consent. Munro claimed that he learned "only a few months ago" that he had gone through a marriage ceremony on May 28, 1918, while he was too intoxicated to know what he was doing. Garrity, chairman of the Verdun Protestant School Trustees, announced that school fees in Verdun would be abolished simultaneously with the slicing in half of the school tax.
