Yuri Kryvono-hov and his wife, Maria Tsvygun, known to the doomsday cult Maria Tsvgun "Living God" members as Maria Devi Christos, the living God face charges ranging from organizing civic unrest to violating state property. Vitaly Kovalchuk, a leading member of the cult known as Pope Ioann Petro II, was also charged. If convicted, Kryvonohov and Kovalchuk face up to eight years in prison, and Devi Christos five, police say.
