Fair and continued cold at night. W. E. Turner Funeral services will be held in Brooklyn, N.Y., this afternoon for William Elvis Turner who died suddenly in New York Tuesday. He had been connected with the shipping business in Montreal for several years.

Born in Cardiff, Wales, he emigrated to New York prior to the Second World War and joined Furness Whity Ltd. During the war he served with the British Ministry of War Transport at New York. Mr. Turner joined Atlantic Shipping Agencies at Montreal in 1946, transferring to the company's New York office in 1951. Three years later he joined Concord Chartering Corporation of New York and was the firm's general manager at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Davis, two sons, Gerald and John of New York, a sister, Mrs. Alan Webb of London, and two grandchildren. Dr. J. W.

Turnbull a Funeral will be held Saturday, April 21 at noon in Mount Royal United Church for Dr. J. W. Turnbull who died yesterday. He was 88.

Dr. Turnbull was born in Boston, and graduated McGill University medical school in 1906. He practised in Regina, Saskatchewan and later in Santa Monica, California before retiring and moving to the Town of Mount Royal After retiring, he was active in the Horticultural Society and was president of the Gentlemen of Leisure Club, an association of retired men He is survived by: his wife Estella a son Dr. William Turnbull; two brothers, Frank and Robert; a sister Jennie and three grandchildren. Interment will be in Montreal Memorial Park.
