(CP) Four descendants of two men who signed treaty number seven on the Blackfoot reserve in 1877 re-enacted the ceremony near here Monday. He was 54. Mr.

Cordeau was a partner in the notarial firm of Pratt, Wayland, Lefebvre, Cordeau, Petrie, Miquelon and Reynolds. He was born in Montreal. graduated from the university of Montreal law faculty in 1939 and won a Licence in Commerce from Les Hautes Etudes Commerciales in 1941. During the Second World War, Mr. Cordeau served in the Canadian Army Service Corps.

Following the war, Mr. Cordeau engage in title work for the notarial firm in which he later became a partner, and remained prominently active in his profession until January of this year. Mr. Cordeau was an active member of the Country Club of Montreal, and the St. Lambert Curling Club.

He is survived by is wife, the former Elizabeth three sisters, Therese (Mrs. Lionel Leroux), Madeleine and Germaine (Mrs. Claude Leroux), and four brothers, Georges, Louis, Jean and Gustave. is the neice, four generations removed, of David Laird, the first Lieutenant-Governor of the NorthWest Territories. Woman charged in post robbery stays in jail QUEBEC (CP) Bail was set at $5,000, but Nicole Touchette, charged with the June 5 armed robbery of $168,373 in cash and bonds from a post office, stayed in jail Wednesday because she couldn't raise the money.

Miss Touchette. 25-year-old resident Sherbrooke, has been held since June 9 when judgment was reserved on whether to grant bail. She is charged with armed robbery and receiving Four bandits, one of them a woman, used two stolen cars and a small, powerful motorboat to escape up the St. Lawrence River after holding up the post office in suburban Levis. The loot included $122,500 in cash.
