L. has found a mine, if it is pyrites of iron looked like gold, but Mr. Blanchard has secured Mr. W. Maher to superintend the work in the park.

Mr. Maher's ability as a gardener and decorator is established ha v-ing several years ornamenting parks at New Orleans. Last Saturday just before supper a "breezy" time was unrolled overhead but as we were not going in that direction we abandoned the office and went home content to brave the storm in a spring wagon. The order of Rechabites, a temperance organization, desires to start a society in South Hutchinson. If a suf-ficent number of persons signify a willingness to organize, Mr.

Wm. Mangold will come over and explain in detail the working plan of the order. A. M. Switzer's team enjoyed a "go as you please" by them selves in Hutchinson, Monday, on Sherman east and north on Maple street.

otf N. C. Stott, a Keosauqua, Iowa, friend of the Times was a visitor in Hutchinson last Thursday, while on his way to the city of St. John. He has excellent reccomendations as a teacher, and will soon be instructing the young Kansas idea how not to shoot paper wads.

He has relatives in Stafford county. The New Times, one month, 10 cents. Stone for the new block has begun to arrive. Grass is shoving up, nice and green, in ihe valley. The new meat market will be run by J. F.

W. O. Price, barber, from Casey, 111., will locate in the city. Have you a baby whose picture is difficult to obtain, go to Glines. Literary society meets every Friday evening at the school house.

Any items of news you may favor the Times with will be acceptable. Mr. Price and family will occupy one Of Mr. Quick's buildings for the present. If yon fail to get our paper at the postoffice come to our office and get one.

Bulger and family, from Haven township, moved into the city Saturday. The New Times goes to the Gulf Stream not in the Atlantic, ooean, but to Florida. A. J. Umholtz, of Cheney, called today, while in the city.

M. Bach, carpenter from Greenup, 111, will do the finishing work on Mr. Conley's houses. The Hutchinson Heal Estate Co. moved into rooms in the new Bank of Commerce building, Tuesday.

Tree planting is the order of the day along the streets only ten thousand or so not streets but treees. Mr. Blanchard has a lot of Honeysuckles for planting. Residents of S. II.
