Smith, Decatur. Adams County Prosecutor, as its president. Paul B. Wevcr, Evansville, Vanderburgh County prosecutor, was named president-elect for 1959 at the closing session of the group's annual meeting. Also elected were Vijo County Prosecutor John R. Jelt, T^rre Haute, vice president, and LaGrange County Prosecutor Richard E. DeTE;r, LaGrange, secretary-treasurer. The IPA elected to its executive committee Marion County Prosecutor John Tinder. Indianapolis; St. Joseph County Prosecutor Patrick Brcnnan, South Bend; Bcnton County Prosecutor Everett West, Fowler; SooU County Prosecutor Harry McCalla, ScottsburR, and Knox County Prosecutor Harvey Ramsey, Vincennes. CLEARED IN SL.VYING INDIANAPOLIS (UP) - John Alfred Williams, an ex-convict, was cleared as a suspect in the slaying of Theodore Turner, Indianapolis oil executive Saturday after a lie test. Williams was arrested last Tuesday in connection ' with the fatal shooting of Turner a month ago. Williams was held for further investigation of a series of burglaries.
