Marshall Goldberg, Pittsburgh's Panthers ran over Notre Dame's heretofore 1 undefeated Irish, today before a crowd of 70,444 paid Spectators. It was Notre Dame's worst defeat since 1914. Both safety men. La Rue, Pitt, and Pupils, Notre Dame, were jittery. Patrick, Pitt fullback, handed the ball to Goldberg who scooted off right tackle 21 yards to the Notre Dame 31. Goldberg ripped the left side to the 17. A plunge and a lateral, Patrick to Goldberg, went to the 13.

Three plays made nothing. O'Neill kicked to Pitt's 34. Stapulis bucked to his own 45. Stebbins made 7. Gold FIRST PERIOD.

fordham Sill ran the punt back to Fordham's 17 from mid-field, and Ferry place-kicked a field goal from the 24, putting St. Mary's ah ad, 3 0. Another penalty after the next lick-off put Fordham on its 12. Punts were exchanged, and Ferry made his second place kick for a field goal from the 39. Aronson made 35 yards through right tackle, but the play was recalled for offside.

U. 0, Georgetown 9. SECOND PERIOD. A series of rushes put the ball on Georgetown's 20. Duff kicked to Stellmach who fumbled on the next play losing the ball.

Georgetown lost several yards. Sivak caught the kick on the Nt Y. 30. Stellmach rushed it to the 49. Dowd kicked.

The ball was blocked by Hardy, Georgetown center who ran 30 yards without interference for the touchdown. Valiquette's kick was good. Bloom's pass was intercepted. Keating passed to Valiquette who was tackled on the N. Y.

U. 15. Score: N.Y.U. 9, Georgetown 7. THIRD PERIOD Valiquette kicked to N.

Y. 10 where Stellmach was downed. Dunney kicked to the Georgetown 35. Duff booted it back to the N. Y.

U. 20. Stellmach made 10 on rushes. Dunney kicked to Keating on the Georgetown 45. Another kick put the ball back in Violet territory.

Palau's great kick was recalled and Fordham penalized for offside. The teams continued to exchange punts with Fordham finding itself penalized at embarrassing intervals. The Gaels recovered a Fordham fumble at the same spot. Larue broke through the left to Notre. Dame's 45, and Stapulis shot a low overline pass to Hoffman who caught it on the Irish 35 and sprinted over for Pitt's second touchdown.

Daddio's placement was wide. Score: Pitt 13, Notre Dame 0. FOURTH PERIOD. The Irish opened their first important drive. A 26-yard pass, McCarthy to O'Reilly, took the ball to Pitt's 25.

45. A pass, Keating to Valiquette, gained 10 yards. Keating was thrown for a loss of 10 on the N. Y. U.

Stellmach passed to Dunney and Somma put the ball on Georgetown's 5. The visitors' line held. Duff kicked to Bloom who was tackled on the Georgetown 30. Again the line held. Bloom passed 25 yards to Shorten who ran tha 5 yards for the touch down.

Brown's kick tied the score. Final score: N. Y. U. 7, Georgetown 7.

Detroit Crushes Manhattan, 20-0 By TODD WRIGHT. Eleven young men from Manhattan tackled Detroit University at Ebbets Field yesterday before 15,000 fans. The Gaels Gallop Not Very Far beefy Jasper's line anticipated an aerial offensive by the lighter team from the midwest. I Detroit won. 20 0.
