Lentol (D-L) 15 Bennett Gold (R) 15 Alfred A. Lama (D-L) THE TWO PROPOSITIONS On the top line of all voting machines you will find two propositions on which you are to vote Tea" or "No." Proposition No. 1. known as the Park and Recreation Land Acquisition Bond Act. authorizes the sale of $75 million of state bonds to provide money for the state and its subdivisions to buy up vacant lands for recreational purposes, especially in and near fast-growing areas.

Proposition No. 2 permits the state to increase by $5 million a year the subsidies the voters in 1958 authorized it to pay to municipalities and housing authorities for the support of low-rent housing and urban renewal projects. This proposition provides the money to offset the rise in in-terest rates on state bonds which now threatens to destroy the progress already approved by the voters.
