Harold Steinman, producer of the show, signed the performers during the engagements played in Eng land and continental Europe in 1951, marking the third consecutive tour of foreign shores. The German contingent is headed by Lothar Mueller, considered Eur ope's foremost ballet, acrobatic and skater, who is making his dc'jut to North American audiences. From Belgium, the stellar skater is Van Gompel, who long has been regarded as the leading comedy-s'yle performer, also being introduced to domestic showgoers. On the feminine side, there's the fkating team of De Vos and Peper-man, a duo whose work caught the eye of Producer Steinman when trie revue appeared in Antwerp.

De Vos and Peperman are described as all-around artists who con tribute and paired numbers. With some 35 titles won between them, separately and as a team, Elvira Collin and Fernand Leemans, ased 22 and 25, respectively, are known as a duo who can accomplish "anything and everything" the skating book. They have appeared in every leading European c.ty and all over England. They are former world's professional title at Brighton, England, in 1949. The play offers very little that is worthy of critical comment. There are a couple of fairly good stock laugh lines, but the plot creaks and the production that has been given the show is shaky and haphazard. The story concerns a navy rating, renowned for his talents as a lady-killer, who comes up against a young woman who turns out to be quite indifferent to his charms. H.W, Eric Knight Sfory Planned as Musical New York, Sept. 10. ffi Hume Cronyn, veteran actor and stage director, thinks The Flying York-shireman would make a good musical and intends to do something about it. Contracts are already being drawn with Alan Collins of Curtis Brown for the London, Cronyn to take a two-year option on the famous short-story by Eric Knight. Published in 1937, the story deals with a Briton who suddenly discovers he has the ability to fly.

Movie rights to the tale have been sold and re-sold since 1938. However, Cronyn is not worrying about that yet because he wants plenty of time to find a top adaptor, composer and lyricist. He hopes that he and his wife, Actress Jessica Tandy, will do the leads in the finished product but modestly adds that b'ih will gladly step out of the parts for others more qualified.
