Tennyson-Jesse, in which she appeared In New York. In Rplte of. an attack of conscience at the last minute, he proceeds with the plans, and boards the ship to meet the woman. She has gone ahead of him, and he does not see her until they have been out at sea for, over four days, when he discovers that she Is the cousin of Mrs. Joiephs, having adopted this course to save her from recklessness. Her intentions, however, are not purely Impersonal, and there are various amusing complications when the Ship is quarantined off Pigeon Island and the two, marooned on the Island, are compelled to occupy the same 'bungalow for a number of days.

MONTRCAL'J UBAOIOK THCATRI When Vivian Martin makes her ap-pea-ance in the role of Diana Bartlett in "Quarantine" at' the Orpheum Theatre tomorrow night, It will marl; her Montreal dQbut in a speaking roll, although she has been seen often on the screen by local movie patrons. Miss Martin, who is a blonde of piquant beauty and engaging charm, has had a varied theatrical career, for she kept pace both with stage and screen, and has scored notable successes in both realms. Her list of film triumphs includes "Unclaimed Goods," Sunset Trail," "Mollle Entangled," "Vivette," "Her Country Kirst," "Louisiana," "An Innocent Adventuress," "Yom Never Saw Such a Girl," anu "The Fair Barbarian," and several of more recent production. Miss Martin's New York stage career is one of highly effective and most prominent Ingenue roles, for the main, and she has been in great demand, as her youthfulness and piquancy are qualities not half so easy to find in one person as th average individual might imagine. "Quarantine," in which Miss Martin will appear here, is a play that affords her fine scope, her role of the interfering Diana with plans of her own, as well as the altruistic motive of saving her pretty cousin from disgrace, being one that holds big possibilities for comedy and dramatic work.
